The SSVs are based on the default assumptions provided in SR3, which have been used in the development of the Soil Guideline Values (SGVs) published by the Environment Agency in 2009. WSVs are also based on the SR3 conceptual site model where possible for residential and commercial land uses.
Soils
Atkins has derived two sets of SSVs: one at 6% soil organic matter (SOM) for a sandy loam soil; and an additional set of SSVs at 1% SOM for a sand soil.
Atkins SSVs have been derived in line with the Environment Agency 2009 guidance (SR2, SR3, SR4, SR7) using the CLEA v1.04 and CLEA v1.06 software. The ATRISKsoil SSVs can be accessed as Adobe Acrobat PDF files using the links to the right of this page.
Atkins SSVs for Parks, Playing Fields and Open Spaces have also been derived in line with the 2009 CLEA framework (where possible) using CLEA v1.04 and CLEA v1.06 software. The ATRISKsoil SSVs can be accessed as Adobe Acrobat files using the links to the right of this page.
Waters
Atkins has derived WSVs using the RBCA v2.5 software. The modelling inputs were made compliant with the SR3 residential and commercial conceptual site model and follow the guidance provided within SR3 where possible.
The ATRISKsoil WSVs can be accessed as Adobe Acrobat files using the links to the right of this page.
